I was turned down recently by US Airways, one reason was;
Presence of Collection *Inquiries*
I have no collections, what is a collection inquiry? Even if a collection agency ran my credit report, that can't be a reason to deny me can it?
The interesting thing on the report as of today is there are no collections, 4 inquiries in the last year, and the score, despite 9 accounts with balances and a utilization of 50% is 709. Simulator says if I pay down the debt I'll go to 829, doubtful of course, but 750 is a pretty sure thing.
