Thanks GGE.
The info you gave to some degree had been went over in another thread I started but any info is appreciated. I've since just given up for the moment. However the one thing that I"ve never been told that you mentioned was the resetting the date of last activity or something to that effect.
I've been on here a LOT and no one has ever told me that nor have I read it. I have read that the practice of "resetting" the date was not allowed by law. As I look at my reports that I have pulled in the past couple of days, that doesn't appear the case. I have paid every collection, 6 of them total I believe and none of them have changed anything with regard to their dates. Only the date they were paid. The entry on my reports with regard to date of last delinquency has not changed and that means that two of them will be coming off in the next 10-12 months.
I hope that what you speak of isn't true. Ad you can see from my other posts, I've gotten a extensive education in the ways of credit and reporting. Little if any of it is fair.
Thanks for your input, all of it is beeing soaked in!
To the poster whom stated this : "2. The OP was that an erroneous collection dropped their score 40 points and then when it was deleted there was a further drop of 7 points. With all due respect, I find that almost impossible to believe based upon my numerous experiences with this."
Keep in mind you are speaking of "your experience" where as i was informing everyone of "my experience" to which, you may find it impossible, but i am not that ignorant, and im telling you it did in fact happen!! and there were no other underlying causes that effected the changes. I monitor my reports constantly and aware of each and every change to my credit file(s).
BRB.... I hear you and then some....... I've had some strange and unexplainable things happen to me as well. No explanation even after calling the bureaus and and myFICO support.
Crazy....insane...unfair racket...... My TU FICO was 617 and then unexplainably went to 607 while in the same freakin' week my EQ FICO went up, not once but twice. Info on all reports is virtually identical.
