Today TransUnion deleted my one and only collection. It was scheduled to drop off in November, but I asked for an early deletion and it was granted. My FICO score actually did not rise. It DROPPED by one point! The deletion of the collection was the only change and the score was pulled yesterday and today. I have 20 accounts reporting. The collection was the second oldest account reporting. So perhaps, the change in the AAOA perhaps is the cause of the drop. It's still great to have the one bad mark finally removed from my report.

The EXACT thing happened to me. I had 2 IIB drop off and my score dropped. So I calculated my AAOA and there is where I got hit.
Was the CO an older account? Experian told me personally that once an account gets scored as a negative (CO, IIB etc), the negative affect only lasts for 2 years. After the 2 years, the scoring affect stabilizes for the remainer of the TL. Once it comes off after the DFOD, the TL will affect the AAOA.
I took some grief from some bozo from Seattle because either he/she did not believe me or he/she could not perform the AAOA calculation. I am sorry you took a hit, but this verifies by theory of the scoring model.
