Hello, I am confused as to why my Equifax dropped 22 points today. The reason my FICO app indicates is "The balance on one of your accounts has decreased by $15." Someone please explain to me how this might make sense.
Please and thank you. ![]()

The score drop is related to some other factor and not related to the balance decrease. Your scores can change due to many factors but only a few events cause an alert. So it's purely coincidental that a score decrease was reported at the same time as the balance decrease.
the other days my equifax drop 29 points for no reason , the only i see different was they add my walmart card but that alot of points , but that happen in CK scores.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it was the addition of another card...nothing else makes sense lol. They're really slow at picking up new accounts. A month and a half slow. Thanks Irish.
One other possibility occurred to me: was this your only account reporting a balance, and if so, did the $15 decrease pay off the balance, so you have $0 reporting on all cards?
