I was a bit floored this month seeing a score drop related to my mortgage payment...................now I just found a more detailed comment on EQ regarding my standard mortgage change:
"The following changes were reported for your MORTGAGE account:-
Balance Amount Changed from $339,719 to $339,341
Comments on your account changed from Real estate mortgage , Conventional mortgage , Variable rate to Consumer disputes this account information , Real estate mortgage , Variable rate"
COULD THIS CREATE A SCORE DROP? AND I DIDN'T DISPUTE ANYTHING ON THE MORTGAGE .....NOT YET ANYWAY,
I HAVE 2 30 DAY LATES FROM NOV/DEC 2013 (THE HOLIDAYS ARE HARD ON ME AS IT IS THE ANNIVERSARY OF MY SON'S DEATH - DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE IT HAD LATES BUT OBVIOUSLY I LOST TRACK THAT YEAR) BUT I DID NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING TO DISPUTE.
COULD THIS 'CHANGE' COMMENT TO DISPUTE CREATE A SCORE DROP??????
AND NOW I HAVE TO WORK ON GETTING OFF A COMMENT I DIDN'T PUT ON?? I HAVE ENOUGH TO WORK ON WITH GETTING EARLY DELETE ATTEMPTS AND NOT ENOUGH TIME TO DO IT!
Certain aspects of the TL are excluded from Fico scoring while in dispute, its possible it is the culprit. Just call the CRA and tell them you are no longer disputing anything and request removal of those comments.

Thanks Gdale........just looked a little closer. TU also has a really old mortgage last payment 2007 showing as consumer dispute. Must have been on there for years and years. This is the mortgage from our old house. Should I remove the dispute comment from this too? Will it help? It is not on my Equifax report. Experian has it but has no comment. Would removing this ancient dispute result in a positive with TU.?
