Credit usage calculation

Trying to plan for a couple of moves I would like to make in June (I.e. A couple of apps and hopefully cli requests) and I was just trying to get everything in order to maximize my chances. When the Bureaus report credit usage does the amount on AMEX charge cards counts as utilization since there is no credit limit or is is just calculated as part of your overall debt?
