DHs cards at 0%, score drop

DH and I both actively monitor with 3b+ and try to stay at AZEO. His balance card reported at $0 last month, effectively dropping his score 33pts (+- 2 pts depending on the bureau). This month it reported again at 7% utilization. He got +3 pts on EX and nothing on EQ and TU. The only change was adding a new Disco TL and aging his report 1 month. I guess I’m venting more than anything but that score drop for no usage and then gaining a measly three points back seems a bit skewed. I thought “Fico doesn’t remember month to month” (like when you are paying down/off high balances). His scores are now in the 630 range with the drop.

Something else dropped his scores, check his reports closely, the notifications often have nothing to do with the actual cause of a score change.

His before and after reports are not the same, otherwise his scores would be the same.

If event X drops a score Y points, exactly reversing even X will cause that same score to gain Y points.

At least one other variable, Z, was introduced into the equation here with the introduction of a new account.  With a new account comes an inquiry, an AoYA drop and an AAoA drop.  If Z was the only credit report change above when comparing the before and after reports, however many of Y points didn't return from the reversal of event X was because of variable Z.
