Derog clarification

I am helping my brother clean up his credit scores and I ran across some confusing things regarding some late payments he back several years ago. He lost his job and got behind on his mortgage for a while, but got caught up and hasn't had any issues on any accounts since. What is confusing me is that EX is showing 3 late payments and TU, and EQ is showing 7. It seems EX goes back 45 months and is current up to Jan 2020, and TU and EQ goes back 48 months, and is current up to Dec 2019. It seems like TU and EQ is later in reporting and reporting longer. I honestly though derogs stayed on 7 years, but I'm fortunate to have not had to deal with any late payments myself in over 20 years, when I was young n dumb and thought buying hot rod parts seemed more important that paying bills on time.Smiley Sad The good thing is that seems that no matter what in 7 months that his report will be derog free, just wondering why there is a disparity between EX and TU/EQ.

Re: Derog clarification

You need to pull things from annualcreditreport.com for real accuracy and honestly that's step 1 on any credit cleanup and rebuild.

The CMS's cut some of the tradeline history short but they should still list worst deliquency and number of times late on the tradeline but some of them are wonky.  Half the TU places I check tell me I have no lates, sad, but no. Cat Tongue
