Hello, hoping this is the right board for this. I recently restarted MyFICO membership in preparation for a few upcoming applications. In addition, I get my my Fico scores from the following: EQ- Citi Costco, EX- AMEX, and TU- PayPal MC.
My scores have been steadily rising and MyFICO shows the following:
Today, I received an email from Citi saying that my Fico score had changed. I had completed my planned apps and was expecting a lowered score because Credit Karma had shown a 21-point drop (assuming because of recent inquiries). Here's what I saw:
My EQ score on MyFICO is as of 4/27. My Citi EQ is as of 4/23. MyFICO score rose steadily throughout the month of April but never showed me a change to 822. Can someone please help me understand the difference between scores?

Citi uses Fico Bankcard 8. The screen shot you provided from MyFico is your regular Fico 8 score. If you've recently purchased your credit reports, you can find your Fico Bankcard 8 score under "Additional Fico scores" on your MyFico dashboard.

The previous post is correct that you were comparing a Classic Score 8 to a Bankcard Enhanced 8. This would be comparing apples to oranges. BCE 8 which you get from your Citi account tops out at 900 as opposed to 850 for Classic 8. For that reason it isn't uncommon for BCE 8 scores to run a good bit higher, perhaps 20-40 points, which is about what you saw.
Your statement above that I quoted though is not true. Credit Karma uses the VS 3.0 model, not a FICO model. A score increase or decrease on a VS 3.0 score is not indicative of a score increase or decrease on a FICO score. Never think for a second that a FICO score will react at all similarly to the way a VS 3.0 score does.
Thanks for your responses. Had no idea there was a difference so I looked up my bankcard scores. It shows 817, so still different from Citi. I appreciate your time and explanations.
