Six months ago, the credit score on my Discover Card statement dropped nearly 100 points, from 824 to 733, and it has stayed at 733 ever since. Yet the three scores I purchase from myFICO haven’t changed at all. Currently they’re all in the 800s, which is where they’ve been for several years. I compared my most recent credit reports with those from a year ago and found no new negative information (in fact, no new information at all). Does anyone know why my Discover score would be 100 points lower than my myFICO scores?

When you log into your Discover account online and click on "view now" next to where it mentions FICO CREDIT SCORE what does it list below the graph for "Key Factors" where you see the red arrow pointing down.
You should see typical credit score comments like:
1. TIME SINCE MOST RECENT ACCOUNT OPENING IS TOO SHORT
People who recently opened a new credit account (such as a credit card or loan) are more likely to miss future payments than those who have not and are riskier to lenders.
Also, what is the date on the Discover Fico score vs. the date on your Myfico Transunion 08 score?
It says:
1. PROPORTION OF LOAN BALANCES TO LOAN AMOUNTS IS TOO HIGH
The balances of your non-mortgage installment loans (such as auto or student loans) are high compared to your original loan amounts. As you pay down your loan your balance decreases, which reduces the proportion.
2. LACK OF RECENT REVOLVING ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Your report shows no open or recently reported revolving credit accounts. People responsibly using different types of credit are generally less risky to lenders.
I don't understand why either of these would cause my Discover score to suddenly drop nearly 100 points:
1) The only loans I have are student loans, I've NEVER missed a payment, and the balances have been going down steadily for years.
2) I use the same credit cards for the same things every month, so it's not true that I have "no open or recently reported revolving credit accounts."
And as I mentioned, my myFICO scores didn't drop at all. They're still in the 800s, where they've been for several years. So what's going on with Discover?
Didn't see your last question...
My Discover score dropped from 824 to 733 in September 2015, and it's been at 733 ever since, including on the statement I received today.
My myFICO Transunion score was 828 in July 2015 and 832 in January 2016, the last time I checked it.
Maybe you have a split file. It sounds like Discover is not seeing any information about the credit cards.
Mine is also wrong, 745 vs an actual of 815. But mine is because TU is dishing up a cached report that still shows my tax lien that's been gone for a year. I no longer care since I know what the real score is, and it hasn't stopped Discover from ponying up CLI's.

My Discover TU FICO 8 score is exactly what it was on MyFICO on the given date. Since they both get if from the same source there's no logical reason why it should be different.

My discover fico score just dropped from 696 to 612 for no apparent reason. I bought the myfico 3 report to find out what caused it and nothing has changed, including my TU score. There is a discrepancy between the Discover and myfico scores?? Why would this be?

There may be no logical reason for it to be different, but it is and has been for the last six months.

Several people, including myself, have reported that their Discover TU 08 Fico scores diverged from their TU 08 Fico scores purchased from Myfico beginning in September 2015.
My TU 08 scores purchase from Myfico have fluctuated between 846 and 849 for the last 6 months.
My TU 08 scores from Discover have fluctuated between 830 and 834 for the last 6 months.
I don't believe that I have a split file. I have obtained my TU credit file from every conceivable source and all my accounts are present. Somehow, Discover seems to be obtaining a score from TU that includes information that was removed from my TU credit report.
I'm not quite sure what is going on. But, I'm obviously not the only one experiencing this anomaly.
