Does removing a person as a AU cost you points?

I had my wife remove me as a AU on her AMEX, I just got my 3B report and on the report under AMEX it shows closed, it hasn't be reported to Equifax or TU yet but has been reported to Expirian, and it looks it cost me 8 points. That account had an 81% UT on it.

@Bogey1975 It would not affect your wife. It could affect you.

However if the account was counting on 8, I would've expected an increase in score. What score are you looking at that particular? Are any other changes possible? 81% utilization being dropped should've resulted in an increase if the card was being counted and not discounted by the anti-abuse portion of the algorithm.

All my scores when up after getting clost to AZEO, I'm looking at the Fico 8, but my all scores when up accross the board. She took me off a discover also, that had 91% UT and its just gone from my report unlike the Amex which says closed. The card is still open on her side. My over all UT went to 9%

Sounds to me like the score change came from something else.

Could be, just not sure what. I had two accounts update on Friday, that should have gone to 0 balances, but not showing on my reports yet, do you think those will show today?

The last update on EX is a credit limit increase which I didn't ask for. Could that be it?

Bingo you’re getting the AU AZ loss because you don’t have a balance on any authorized user account. 😉 it was mitigated by the drop in utilization.

On version eight when you have authorized user accounts, if you don't have at least a small balance on one of them, you receive an AU AZ loss.
