EX scoring similar?

At the begining of the year I applied for a mortgage and was denied due to my middle score being too low.  My scores were EQ 552, TU 590, EX 603.  Since then I have set to fixing everything I could and as of today my EQ is 607 and my TU is 631.  I have paid down my Util to 5% and had one collection removed from all agencies through DV and I have a couple of more things working that should help my score out soon.  Since I cannot check my own EX score, is it reasonable to assume it has made a similar increase as my other scores?

Re: EX scoring similar?

Back in the day when we could pull our EX FICO from here, IME, EX was sensitive to util, collections, and a length of history. If I had to compare, I'd compare it to EQ since EQ is really picky about util and to AAoA and length of history. Again, IME.

Re: EX scoring similar?

Thank you for moving my post to the right location llecs and I hope EX is similar to EQ since my EQ score has gone up 56 points so far this year.  I am needing to get my middle score over 620 but hopefully in the next couple of months I can get my middle score to 640+.

Re: EX scoring similar?

llecs - this is very helpful info. I had no idea that EQ and EX have a reputation of being sensitive to util %, collections and history length and that they are possibly similar (also good news for me since my EQ is highest). Any ideas what TU tends to be more sensitive to?

Mid-2010 Starting Scores: FAKO EQ 476 FAKO EX 506 FICO TU98 575
July 2017 Current Scores: Approx 710 (waiting for official updates)

Re: EX scoring similar?

IME, they weren't sensitive as much to util (I have a thread roaming around here somewhere on that) and also not as senitive to CAs (e.g. I had one added...lost 104 on EX and 60-something on TU). TU tends to like a better mix of credit, IME. I also seem to recall that TU was sensitive to late payments, though I haven't added any since finding this site and basing this off dropped ones due to CRTP. Again, what's true of the parts isn't true of the whole, especially with FICO scoring. YMMV.
