Equifax dropped 90 points

I was notified this morning by Credit Karma my Equifax score dropped 96 points.  It's showing under changes , two older car  loans that are already on my report as current are now reporting as recently detected. It shows one balance decreased  900 and one 600 bucks in the last month. It shows all payments on time.  No lates ever on any card or loan. Score was 810 now 714.

Thought ok it's just Credit Karma but now Equifax Fico score on this website just dropped 90 points to a 700.  It's showing what's hurting my score as serious delinquency, missed payments and bad payment history. But when I go to my accounts it's showing no late payments. I have perfect credit.  My credit age hurts me with 19 cards but I haven't applied for a card since last October.  Nothing has changed on my report.  Experian and Transunion are still great.

My utilization is all zero except for one and that is it 1 percent.

Re: Equifax dropped 90 points

Were the balance decreases from paying off the loans? And now you don't have open loans?

...Still doesn't explain the negative reasoning though.

Re: Equifax dropped 90 points

No I still have the loans. Balances decreased because I made my car payments. But those are not my payment amounts.

Re: Equifax dropped 90 points

Credit karma isnt fico and this is understanding FICO scoring. they do things differently, and lenders dont use them.

You're looking at an old report.  MyFico updates scores in real time, but it only updates reports monthly or every 3 months, depending on your subscription.

As @GZG said, get a fresh report at

 https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action

You can get free reports weekly there.

Re: Equifax dropped 90 points

Obviously scores don't just take a 90+ point nose dive for no reason.  It's very likely you have a fresh 30 day late payment that's hit, or has been mistakenly reported/entered by EQ.  You should do as suggested above and pull a fresh EQ report from annual credit report and see what they have reported.  If, you've pulled one in the last 7 days, wait until the 8th day from the last time you pulled it to ensure you're getting up to date information.  There is definitely a new derogatory, or some other snafu within your EQ report that you're not seeing, or not able to see.

If there is still nothing out of the ordinary listed on your EQ report, you should contact Equifax.  If you're unable to sort though it with the first level CSR, politely ask to speak to a supervisor.  I would be their new best friend until I got it remedied.

IMHO you need to pull all 3 of your current reports, and dispute any inaccuracies.

If there are none, then I just say you need to give it a little time for the scores to correct.
