Re: FICO scores different from lender

That's a huge spread between TU and EQ in your MyFico scores.  Its possible, as lenders sometimes have slightly different versions of the credit score than we pull here. (They might have one specialized for cars or mortgages, or they might have a newer version of the formula that myFico doesn't use because most lenders haven't moved up to it yet.) But thats a huge gap.

Did you get a paper copy of your reports from the lender? You may want to check to see where the differences are.

Your credit report can change daily. Scores pulled on 4/24 can easily be different from scores pulled 10 days later. If you buy scores at MyFico on the same day your lender pulls scores, your EQ score should match the lender's. Your TU score might match the lender, but will probably be different, as most lenders use a different TU version.

This from your siggy: 5/3/09 LO scores TU 463, EQ 436, EX 498

As others mentioned, you can only compare scores pulled on the same day, and of course, they need to be FICO's. It's quite possible that your lender pulled TU 04, instead of TU 98 which is what TransUnion is offering here and on their transunioncs site, so those might be different, but the EQ scores will be the same.

The scores from your LO yesterday aren't that spread out. EQ hits hard for lates, so if you have lates, that might explain why your EQ is so much lower than the others. And so forth.

If you haven't already, please read Understanding Your FICO ® Score and Credit Scoring 101 (at least the first post.)

These will give you the background knowledge you need to understand what you read here on the forums and how your scores change with time and circumstances.
