Fickle FICO - SW Alert +18 points

I just received an alert that says I gained 18 points because an inactive (4 months) Citi account reported activity - there's no balance. I PIF'd before the statement cut. Go figure. Get this, I let a $17 charge report on my Macy's (inactive 4 months) last month and I lost 14 points. FICO is truly fickle. I guess the preference is for bank card activity.

No actually your post might show something. CC good to use, retail bad to use (not bad to have, actually many think good to have), maybe?

I'd lean more toward "good to use, bad to let report." CCC's do report that a card has been used, whether it reports a balance or not.

Yes that would be a better answer. Bad to report a balance. Thans HTSU. Smiley Happy
