Fico score versions 4 and 8 are very different

Why are my fico version 4 and version 8 scores so different? Is there anything I can do to fix my mortgage scores? My version 8's are as follows -

TU- 668

EX- 648 

EXP- 630

My Version 4 scores are considerably lower at

TU- 605

EX - 599

EXP- 581

Version 8 gives small debts (under $100) less scoring impact - if you have some small collections, thats a likely reason for the difference.

That makes sense! I have about 4 small medical collections all $200 or less that I plan to pay off in the next month and have deleted.

I have 3 cc's

2 capital one cards with CL's of $1500 each

1 Barclays rewards MC with CL of $1000 which i just got approved for last week

Multiple student loans with 10 missed payments 4 years ago that are current now

Auto loan for 23,000 never late
