Fico v2

I just spoke with my credit union and when they pull my credit report it read FICO v2.  Can anyone tell me if that means is it FICO 8?  The pull was for a autoloan.

Thanks

No, that's not a Fico 08 score.  It's an Experian Score using the Fico 04 model.  It's what's known as an auto enhanced Fico score that is using the older Fico model.  Fairly common in the auto loan world

Re: Fico v2

Is there a site that I can look at the "Experian Score using the Fico 04 model or auto enhanced Fico"

Yes, you can purchase that score here.  This will give you your Fico 08 score, auto enhanced scores, mortgage scores and Bankcard enhanced scores..  You can either purchase a single report for Experian or or buy the scores for all three credit bureaus.

Thanks Irish80,  would it be FICO® Auto Score 2 I would need to keep an eye on?

Re: Fico v2

Are you trying to see what the score was that your CU recently saw?  If so, you might want to just ask them.  My CU is always pretty good at showing me the score in the rare situations where they have pulled it.  If they are turning you down for a loan they definitely have to show you.

Or are you for some reason interested in tracking your Auto-enhanced score over an extended period?  Bear in mind that when you use myFICO to buy it, you are only getting it once.  To track it once a month (say) you would need to pay that amount 12 times a year.

Re: Fico v2

Actually Experian FICO v2 is FICO Risk Model v2 = Experian '98.

FICO 04 for Experian (AKA FICO Risk Model v3) isn't used by virtually anyone that I'm aware of personally; not sure why, but every lender I'm aware of is either on FICO 8 or '98, and I know at least one lender went directly from '98 to FICO 8.

If you look under the sticky FICO scores for mortgages, it has the links as to where you can see this particular score (FICO v2) since it's part of the mortgage trifecta.
