Freescore.com

I just checked my scores on Freescore.com and they differ from those on myFico.com. The scores off myFico.com are higher than Freescore.

At myFico I have 709 from TU and 732 from Equifax. At Freescore its 677 TU and 723 Equifax.

Why the disparity?

Because the scores at Freescore.com are not FICO scores.  That site uses a formula that might have similar scoring criteria, but fundamentally it's an entirely different formula that, in your case, does not generate a score that correlates very well with your actual FICO scores.

Re: Freescore.com

Got it. Thank you. Glad to hear the higher scores are my FICO.

Re: Freescore.com

You're lucky - often it's the other way around.  There's another score out there called the Vantage Score, which uses a scale that goes all the way to 990.  So, people will pull their Vantage Score and a 750, for example, but then get hit with a cold dose of reality when they pull their FICO score and get a 650.
