Gotta Luv Equifax

Dropped my paid up mortgage six months early tanking my Equifax FICO 10 points. Don't think it had anything to do with me canceling Score Watch today do you? Smiley Happy

Re: Gotta Luv Equifax

I don't know what effect it had on credit mix but it was my oldest account I had listed on my EQ report. They took it upon themselves to remove a Sears account as well that both TU and EX still report. In addition to all this they refuse to remove a child support account which is not to supposed to report.

People complain about Experian being tough but at least they have been fair with me. EQ just flat out socks.

Re: Gotta Luv Equifax

I'd call your mortgage company and ask them to resubmit!

I had an old account fall off early on EQ, and I was all prepared to call up and complain when I realized that my score went up. There had been a late on it, amazingly enough. So I tiptoed away.

For those not aware of this, EQ sometimes has trouble hanging on to closed accounts if you have lots of soft inqs. I thought they had fixed this, but apparently not.

Sorry to read this, smallfry. I know you haven't got a lot of old credit to spare in the first place.

Re: Gotta Luv Equifax

HTSU my oldest reporting account with EQ is now 8 years. TU and EX is 12 years. Basically after 14 months of rebuilding going from 57% utilization and 12K available credit with a 682 EQ FICO I am now sitting here with 130K available 1% utilization and a 696 EQ score. Life in the big city huh? Smiley Happy

The mortgage company is long gone. My original account was sold to a company that operates a chain of laundromats I think. LOL.

Is it also related to the total number of accounts?  None of my old accounts have fropped of EQ early - and I know I have two due to drop in a month or two, and they are still there

MV most of the old accounts have hung on but there are 4 now gone missing well ahead of time. Sears by 4 years. Drops off EX 2011 left my EQ in 2007.

Is your total number accounts in the 20's, 30's or higher?
