Help Understanding How Score Goes Down when account was updated to "Current"

Hi All,

Just received an alert from myFICO. An account was updated from Past Due 30 to Current - was past due. When I looked at the alert my Score went down 20 pts. Question is if account became current shouldn't that be good news? Why would this cause score to decrease. Really focused on improving this year and appreciate all the good info on these forums.

Just curious.

Thanks,

Mike

Was the Past Due 30 definitely present when your earlier score was calulated (the score that was 20pts higher)? Is so, I don't know, but I suspect it will right itself in a short time (meaning the next month or so).

Thanks for the reply. The PD30 was definitely on there prior. I'm hoping it will straighten out in the next few months. Just curious as I have made a lot of progress. Will keep diligently working on it. Thanks again.
