Another thought:
You can put him as an AU on one of your oldest cards with a high credit line...... and if you're concerned about usage or overusage NOT give him the card.... just let it show on his report...... and give him a second card to use, as he slowly and strategically builds his credit with your assistance..... and have him read the forums, their is a wealth of information here.
