I only carry 2 credit card with total limit close to $30 K and I spend 2 K each month, I think when I increase each month credit line( I am not going to use it ) but it will great improve my balance to spending ratio-utlz , I just apply for personal loan from citi for 6 K for 60 month so it will look very good on my credit report that I have 1 installment and pay each month
I am getting consfused: you suggest if I am increase my credit line in Amex also increase in Citi so the limt will be close to each other? I use citi as well American Express on the same time to have similar balance . Is 2 K to much spending? Should I go with 1 K?
you mention" Some people are even getting flagged for asking for cash advance deacrease" you mean Credit card company dont want decrease they cash advance line? also interesting question if I increase my cash advance will my credit score go up or down?
Amex is great as long you do not make a single mistake. I opened a Blue card in 12/05 with a cl of 4.7k and just kept pushing the luv button. As of today I have a cl of 17.5k. It seems that they really focus on your payment history with them more than anything else.

Cash advance limits with ccc not reported on credit reports. Yea, its great about Amex. They don't even ask income half the time. As long as you pay it back, they give you more.
.....or inquiries made by businesses with whom you already have a credit account .....DOes this means when you ask CC for higher limit, it's only a softy?
Depends on the ccc, they all have their own underwriting. From my personal experience, Amex and FIA (formerly MBNA, now BOA) has never done a hard pull for cli's. They just ask if your income has changed but do not demand you verify it, look at your payment hisory with them and then their computers start thinking and it says, give the sucker a cli beacuse we stand to make money off her/him.
