hi, i'am new here. i have a question that kinda goes with this topic. a friend of mine was telling me that he spoke with some "Credit Specialist" and she had told him to make multiple payments in one month totaling or over the monthly payment on his credit card. she claims that this method fools the "computer" and makes your score rise faster. true or false?

Unless you have a police report showing identity theft, EX probably won't delete. They have a strict policy on Inq disputes.

Re: How to increase score

Experian informed enquiries can only be disputed by mail with a copy of a police report!!!

Re: How to increase score

Police report? for something that someone check my credit history without authorization?I should go to Police station and file a report that someone check my credit history? Is that what I should do?

-new inquire is 10% of a credit score? I have 1 inquire that dont belong to me, I have never authorize any person to check it so it ok just to leave it alone and this will improve my credit score because of new inquire?

first off.. All Inqs are 10%.. not just one. Use this letter to contact the company that placed the Inq on your report:

you

date

them

Re: Unauthorized Credit Inquiry

Dear them,

I recently received a copy of my credit reports. The credit reports showed a credit inquiry(s) by your company on the below listed date that I do not recall authorizing. I understand that you shouldn't be allowed to put an
inquiry on my file unless I have authorized it. Please have this inquiry removed from my credit file because it is making it very difficult for me to acquire credit.

I have sent this letter because I need your prompt response to this issue. Please be so kind as to forward me documentation that you have had the unauthorized inquiry removed within 5 days.

From the FCRA? 616. Civil liability for willful noncompliance [15 U.S.C. ? 1681n]

"Civil liability for knowing noncompliance. Any person who obtains a consumer report from a consumer reporting agency under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose shall be liable to the consumer reporting agency for actual damages sustained by the consumer reporting agency or $1,000, whichever is greater."

If you find that I am remiss, and you did have my authorization to inquire into my credit report, then please send me proof of this.

QUESTIONED INQUIRY(s):

KROLL FACTUAL DATA/060 08/18/2004 Experian

FACTL DTA 08/18/2004 Equifax

KROLL FACTUAL DATA/060 07/09/2004 Experian

FACTL DTA 07/09/2004 Equifax

FACTL DTA 09/13/2005 Equifax

Thanking you in advance,

Re: How to increase score

When I went to Police station and ask them to put  investigate a fraud of inqure they just laught at me... Smiley Very Happy

Thanks Tusani for dispute letter information

Quick question:
What the diffrent betwen Authorized User and Join Cardholder( I just want to inherent from my parent credit card) so what you suggest to do? Autorized User or Join Cardholder?

The reason I ask is because when I add myself as a authorized user for my brother account they ask me about social security , name and phone number that mean they will send report each month

but when I ask a Chase to add me as a authorized user they just ask a name and that all that mean how they going to send report to credit bureu if they dont know my social security number?

They laughed at you? Perhaps they would like to read up on ID theft statictics on the FTC website. Jerks.

The difference between AU and joint is debt liability. As an AU you get all the good\bad reporting for a tradeline.. but you are not liable for any of the payments, balance, ect. Whether or not they require your SS# is irrelevant. Plenty of businesses find consumers and report without it.

False.

It is true, that this is false, in relation to increasing your score (I'm agreeing with Tusc Smiley Happy ).

What they might have meant is that if you carry a balance from month to month and you make two payments within one billing cycle, it may reduce the cost of your finance charge for that month.  This is because your finance charges are based on your average daily balance, so a payment made mid-cycle will lower your ADB.

Yes, They laughted on me.. that fine think this should improve my credit score because if there was no inqure it indicate that you are not " actively seeking for credit" and lender may think that you dont need  to use credit, and dont grant you credit

Specialist from personal banking tell me from Wachovia and Citi and Bank of America

When I call chase as I said they tell me if I want to add authorize user I just need to provide name.. but you know it impossible to them just after they know my name to send activity of authorization user to credit bureu, because with the same name could be a hundreth people in U.S Am I right? it impossible for them to find me that why I think they need social security if they dont ask for one so that mean the authorization user option will not work in this case. What they have suggest is to be a join account holder.. with I will be responsibility for someone account. What you suggest to do?

here is a briefly summary of my activity Estimate summary:

1. Citicard- 14 month review of great history Credit limit $15,000

2. American Express-3 month review of great history Credit limit $8000

3. Authorized user of 8 years great history Credit limit$15,000

4. Authorized user of 4 years great history  Credit limit $13,000

5. Authorized user of 4 year great history Credit limit $6,500

6. Payed OFF all credit card zero balance, low utilization, pay on time no late payment, 1 inquire, no garnisment, or any collection

7. Took Installment personal loan for $6,000 for 5 years so I will make long history when paying each month

When I will pay  as agree and no late payment as a authorized user account what you guys think should I ratle 800 Fico score? in 14 month

current as of May22,07

Fico  score(* pulled today from www.myfico.com)

Equifax 731
