hi, i'am new here. i have a question that kinda goes with this topic. a friend of mine was telling me that he spoke with some "Credit Specialist" and she had told him to make multiple payments in one month totaling or over the monthly payment on his credit card. she claims that this method fools the "computer" and makes your score rise faster. true or false?
Unless you have a police report showing identity theft, EX probably won't delete. They have a strict policy on Inq disputes.

ctnbpl wrote:Police report? for something that someone check my credit history without authorization?I should go to Police station and file a report that someone check my credit history? Is that what I should do?-new inquire is 10% of a credit score? I have 1 inquire that dont belong to me, I have never authorize any person to check it so it ok just to leave it alone and this will improve my credit score because of new inquire?

Re: Unauthorized Credit Inquiry
Dear them,
I recently received a copy of my credit reports. The credit reports showed a credit inquiry(s) by your company on the below listed date that I do not recall authorizing. I understand that you shouldn't be allowed to put an inquiry on my file unless I have authorized it. Please have this inquiry removed from my credit file because it is making it very difficult for me to acquire credit.
I have sent this letter because I need your prompt response to this issue. Please be so kind as to forward me documentation that you have had the unauthorized inquiry removed within 5 days.
From the FCRA? 616. Civil liability for willful noncompliance [15 U.S.C. ? 1681n]
"Civil liability for knowing noncompliance. Any person who obtains a consumer report from a consumer reporting agency under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose shall be liable to the consumer reporting agency for actual damages sustained by the consumer reporting agency or $1,000, whichever is greater."
If you find that I am remiss, and you did have my authorization to inquire into my credit report, then please send me proof of this.

Autorized User or Join Cardholder? The reason I ask is because when I add myself as a authorized user for my brother account they ask me about social security , name and phone number that mean they will send report each monthbut when I ask a Chase to add me as a authorized user they just ask a name and that all that mean how they going to send report to credit bureu if they dont know my social security number?

Yes, They laughted on me.. that fine think this should improve my credit score because if there was no inqure it indicate that you are not " actively seeking for credit" and lender may think that you dont need to use credit, and dont grant you credit
Specialist from personal banking tell me from Wachovia and Citi and Bank of America
When I call chase as I said they tell me if I want to add authorize user I just need to provide name.. but you know it impossible to them just after they know my name to send activity of authorization user to credit bureu, because with the same name could be a hundreth people in U.S Am I right? it impossible for them to find me that why I think they need social security if they dont ask for one so that mean the authorization user option will not work in this case. What they have suggest is to be a join account holder.. with I will be responsibility for someone account. What you suggest to do?
