Inquiries, info please

Hello,

When a creditor pulls an EQ report, is he getting info from myfico or equifax?  The inquiries listed on, EQ, from myfico are from the last twelve months, for a total of four.  The inquiries listed from Equifax date back twenty-four months, for a total of six. Two inquiries listed on myfico are dated 8/08.  These should fall off this month leaving me with two inquiries with myfico.

My questions lies with many creditors are denying credit, due to too many inquiries. Reading these threads four seems to be too many.

Re: Inquiries, info please

They pull a full report, directly from the CRA's. Inquiries remain for two years. myFICO reports only display one year's worth, because they're the only ones that affect scoring. FICO/ myFICO doesn't keep your reports. When you pull your myFICO score report, it also comes directly from the bureaus. It's just a bit shortened in places, and it has all the advice and scolding tacked on.

If someone is getting denied for "too many inqs" with only four, and they're more than a year old, that sounds like an excuse from a lender that just doesn't want that consumer for a customer. Smiley Wink I added two accounts this year with 0 inqs from this year, but plenty from last year, and they weren't mentioned. Then again, I was getting additional accounts from existing creditors, so maybe that made a difference.
