Is no payment history viewed as negative?

Hi All,

Quick question for the ‘experts’:

If the 81 month payment history on a tradeline indicates not history’ is that viewed/scored positive, negative or netral?

I have a closed mortgage account that was paid in 2012 with excellent pay history. Just got a new report from Equifax and now that history section is truncated and just says not history’. Is that good or bad?

Thanks

Non-issue on every FICO model I am aware of though admittedly limited data on FICO 9.

Ultimately as long as there is no delinquency or derogatory notation on the tradeline it counts as positive for age and by extension payment history metrics as the number of OK’s don’t matter, it’s aggregate number of tradelines and no negative information when it comes to payment history.

Personally I have had this happen with a few tradelines including my oldest where the payment history got whacked, scores didn’t even budge.
