Just viewed Credit report!!!!

I thought collection accounts would drop off my credit report after 7 years???? My report has collection accounts dated back to 9-10 years.

Need a answer to this question, I'am getting collection calls or Letters, and my correct address is listed on the report:

Welcome to the forums!

Could you name for us the name of the company or companies reporting beyond 7 yrs?

Unfortunately, long after SOL or CRTP expires, a CA can still try to collect.

OK, some OC accounts will naturally fix themselves and report for the full 10 years. I would look at your FICO reports for these and make sure there are no red flags associated with them. Make sure they aren't reporting any lates, "charge-off" remarks, etc.

I had a Zales account that was charged-off in 1997. To date, it is still reporting as an "opened" account. It is my oldest and greatly helps my history. I wouldn't dare do anything to get it off.

What's the name of these car lenders? They are supposed to be in the Accounts section. These aren't collection agencies, are they?
