I am less than $65/1300 but what do you do when they report at random dates every month?....my statement isnt for another week in which it will be paid but they decide to report on the 15th......every month is different but auto pay is same day every month.....does this not happen to anyone else?....i cant be the only one, how to deal with reporting inconsistencies when you have auto pay?
Each card is going to have its own reporting date. Often, the reporting date is the same as the statement date. However, this is not always the case and some financial institutions have specific days of the month they report on. US Bank and its credit processing company Elan FS report on the 30th of the month, regardless of statement date. To find the reporting dates you can either analyze your credit reports and attempt to determine if the report date is consistent with the statement date, or if there is a date each month the card report on. Alternatively, you can call the issuers of your cards and ask for your reporting dates.
I will call them as the reporting dates are anywhere from 10th to 23rd on my petal card from last 4 or 5 months......my first CC is like clockwork but i dont use that card anymore, it posted today with $8 balance on $300 and no pts awarded of course......it seems i should have received some pts back unless you get penalized for using 2 out 2 cards regardless of the util.......was going to apply for 3rd card but with 20 pt hit idk, am back down 710 F8 score, and maybe getting auto loan shortly....many of my inquiries will fall off next month ( like 9 or 10) which even though they are auto (short time period) and count as 1 it still looks bad to creditors to have that many.....i will get this stuff down eventually.......

There is a penalty for more than 50% of your cards reporting a balance, that is part of the difficulty in achieving high scores with thin profiles. Optimal scoring guidelines recommend having 3 revolvers and 1 installment loan and letting only one revolving account report a balance. My scores are far from optimal ![]()
