Last PFD kicks in this week. Will my score go up?

Hey all,

I currently have a 640ish score on equifax with an AAOA of about 3.5 years.

My final unpaid collection will come off this week, it was a few hundred dollars and about 3 years old (I paid it, old trash collection from a different state I lived in).

Should I expect my score to go up? I'm trying not to be too hopeful so I'm not disappointed. I've read a bit about how buckets work but I've heard that moving buckets can actually lower your score Smiley Surprised

You should get some sort of points boost, that's how it worked for me. Hopefully the rest of your report is clean or has very minor infractions. Usually the last negative accounts to come off give you the real boost. Good luck.

Starting Score:TU:791(Dec3), EX:783, EQ:000
Current Score: TU:786(Aug9), EX:776, EQ:782 (Aug8)
Goal Score:820 across all boards

Yes the rest of my score is clean, no lates or anything else. Just a mix of paid of car loans and on time credit cards.
