Late Payment Discrepancies

Hello MF Community - wondering if anyone can kindly review & explain to me why the 3 bureaus might vary in reporting my auto loan history. I have disputed these a few times so one account shows an update and appears to have extended the loans life? This data comes from CCT. As always feedback is greatly appreciated. My scores are up to date in siggy. Everything else on my other accounts matches verbatim.

Account was opened in 2009 and close in 2015

Re: Late Payment Discrepancies

What exactly are you disputing?  Were you not late on the loan at all, or are you simply saying that the dates (months) that you're shown late verses on time incorrect?

I was late - I just didn’t have the dates. But that is behind me. My question now is why do the 3 bureaus reflect differently?

Just different lengths of payment history in the CCT interface for whatever reason and EQ is still getting updated once a month?  Bureaus have their own data retention policies when it comes to payment history and also CCT might be mangling it too, and some lenders are weird.  I likewise have an every month updating account but on TU, closed it out a while ago too.

The lates match up for 2015, didn't get further than that TBH.

Honestly payment history is basically the presence (and date) of deliquencies, or the absensce of such.  The pretty OK's are basically display only and are kind of irrelevant in practice and possibly scoring reality.

And ultimately the data in individual files is all sorts of broken, that continuing to update on a closed $0 balance tradeline is just one such example.

Re: Late Payment Discrepancies

There's really no point in disputing the lates if they happened.

What you should do is obtain real hard-copies of your 3B reports and compare them.  You can sometimes see differences based on a CMS; I've found variances between two different CMS's for example.  Your real credit reports won't lie though.
