no way for sure to say how many points, but probably at least 10 points and at least 1 year to recover, if not longer.
when an old mortgage I had updated recently as late for the last year, it knocked me down about 10 points, thats how I got the estimate, but a thinner credit report may take more of a beating, not sure how that all plays in

Hi , I wanted to know how much will it effect my score if i've missed two payments and the third one is late on one of my credit cards? I've paid everyone else on time but this one I missed. It is a jewelry store card. I also have a visa and mastercard that I've never been late on and my mortgage. How long does it take to recover(fico score) from late or missed payments? Thank you in advance
I would also recommend you post this in the general credit issues forum.
you will get better responses
I would suggest calling the ccc explain that you somehow missed your payment and see if they will give you a pass. Some companies will give you a "free pass" if you have not been late in a year or so. Anyway, it is worth a phone cal to find out.
I am just rereading your post. Did you miss the last 2 payments on the same card and the third is late, or are these misses on different cards? If they are on the same card it looks like you would be 60 and maybe 90 days late. This would put you in the major derog bucket and will really hurt your scores for a significant amount of time.
Good Luck!
