Let me beat a dead horse...fico simulator

Ok I am SURE this has been on the board a billion times but dang too much to go through to find out. How accurate is it...and on mine there is like a 20pt difference between the low and high number it gives out. In reality is usually the smaller number the one I will probably get? Also do you find that TU in more or less accurate the EQ? Anyone ever find that the simulator is just plain wrong???

I cant say its been wrong in my case since it tells me that paying $29 of my $30 debt will give from 0 to 20 points.  100% correct and 100% useless.

Its fun to play with it but I dont think it works too well for my score bucket.

I usually expect the middle of the score range. So +0 to +20 points, I look for (hope for, lol) +10.

For me, its accuracy is, umm, variable. The main problem with the sims is that for most of us, there are enough other things going on with our reports that by the time the postulated event finally occurs, 27 other events have also occurred as well.

You'd almost have to have one card and one loan and never, ever do anything different with your credit to expect the sims to predict scores halfway accurately.

You get it (for EQ and TU) when you buy reports and scores from MyFICO
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
