Lowest FICO scores you've seen?

We talk so much on this forum about high scores, shooting for the 850 etc. Rarely do we discuss the low end. I've often wondered about the low end, as I've never seen anyone with a 300 score or anything close to it. I've definitely never seen anything in the 300's and am not sure I've ever seen a 400's score either... But definitely plenty of 500's from those just starting rebuilds and such. So, what are the lowest scores you've seen and if you know any data points on what made those scores so low that would be cool to hear as well. I'm assuming it would be a ton of negatives, a BK and so on present on a 6 month old file that's just old enough to generate a FICO score.

Re: Lowest FICO scores you've seen?

In August 2016 my EQ FICO was 439 Smiley Sad.
I had 5 collections and 3 CO's with DoFD's in late 2014 and CO occurring early 2015 and collections occurring in mid 2015-early 2016. Also a foreclosure in Oct 2015. Needless to say 2014-2016 were really bad years for me on a personal and financial level.
I opened a small loan with a local finance company in Aug 2016 (that's who told me my EQ was 439). Made every Payment on time and stayed current on my Auto loan. Those were the only two positives on my reports.
In January 2017 I checked my scores on this site they were: EX 573; TU 572; EQ 561. I paid off the 3 CO's and one collection in Feb and had one collection with Midland PFD'd. I also made Payment arrangements with PRA for my 3 remaining collections since PFD isn't an option with them.
After doing this, at the beginning of March my scores were: EX 577; TU 586; EQ 591. I then opened a secured Open Sky card (probably the only thing I could've gotten approved for anyway and I liked the fact that they don't do a HP because with my scores as low as they are I really can't afford any loss of points) and opened a tuition loan with Comenity for 3K ( got this loan through my local Sylvan for my son's tuition there. I thought it would report as an installment but it reports as revolving). After the HP from the Comenity loan and opening the Open Sky and the Comenity Tuition loan (which began reporting almost instantly as a revolver with 100% util. Grrr lol) my FICO scores in April were: EX 572; TU 569; EQ 586.
I have already paid the Comenity loan down by 600 and let a $25 balance report for my Open Sky (CL 350) and have paid extra on my car payment every month (goal is get new car by the end of the year. My family has outgrown my little Kia Forte).
My May FICO scores as of 5/8: EX 573; TU 570; EQ 591. I also disputed some things in early April ( had 2 paid CO's reporting a balance) and those were updated to reflect a zero balance and one of my PRA collections were deleted on 5/2.
Just my personal story/data points on the long ugly climb up from the 400's. Sorry if this looks screwy....using my mobile.

Great reference thread, TT.  Thanks for that.  Should have known that CGID would have beaten me to the punch on starting that thread by about 2 years ... Smiley Happy

Re: Lowest FICO scores you've seen?

One of my daughters has gone from (avg) 690s to 395 in the last 6 mos...she has over 25 30/60/120s and every CC (3) has gone to CO and her SLs in default.  Kills me she did that, but at 31 she knows better and she wonders why I won't co-sign for her to trade in her car or put her back on as a AU on my AMEX..lol

She decided to keep going out and having fun instead of paying at least the mins (about 75.00 a month) on the CCs and totally ignored the SLs even when they offered to help her. Seriously

Re: Lowest FICO scores you've seen?

Wow, 395.  I must say, that's the lowest I've seen.  Sorry to hear that regarding your daughter.  Hopefully she can turn it around.

Re: Lowest FICO scores you've seen?

Here is where I started in Jan I really didn't do much for the jump. I looked at my score in Jan felt defeated and did a few disputes Thar I don't recall. It stayed on my mind and I checked back in April and I was in the 400s. Got one collection deleted and the next day I had an 86 point jump. It was divine intervention.
I am committed to this...

Thanks

I had to look twice when she showed me it (fico not fako), I was stunned, I had no idea scores could really go that low.

She only told me because she asked me to co-sign and I have always had a hard and fast rule...if you want me to sign I want to see all CRs before I agree and they have to have a clear plan on repayment..needless to say I didn't sign

She was brought up that if she buys something/charges or signs for a loan to make good, not excuses.

I hope she can get back from under this too and she did sit down with me and I helped her work out a plan..but she has to want to fix this
