A question for those that have experienced or seen extremely low scores, such as in the <450 range....
When I look at reports such as the MyFICO 3B, it shows a "Risk Factor". With my 730-740 range scores, my "Risk Factor" is showing "5%", meaning that it is estimated that 5% of those in this score range end up getting into serious credit trouble in the future. I am just curious what the Risk Factor percentage is of those that are in the 3xx and 4xx range might be? I cannot imagine that 100% is even an option, but wondering how high the Risk Factor percentage could go. Any experience with this?
when i was at 403 my risk factor was 75%. Makes me cringe when i think back about how bad of shape my credit was in. Welp. when you know better you do better!

Two years ago when I applied for a car, I was told my score was 400. I knew it was terrible, but didn't think it was that bad.
At the time I had nothing but collections on my reports. My only open accounts were school loans which were in forbearance at the time. I had to get my father to co-sign on the car for me, which of course was a sub-prime loan that caused me to upside down from the day of purchase. After a year of payments, I made it to the low 500's. I then got a secured card with CapOne and that took me to the mid-500's.
Nine years ago, my credit was in the 700's and I was 22 years old. My story is a classic case of if I knew then what I know now. The good thing is this credit game was a huge lesson learned and I will never let myself get to this point again.

Thank you, TT! Very interesting!
Once u go under 600 it really does not matter. It's all bad

I think everyone is well aware of that. It's still interesting, though, to see what some of the lowest reported scores are and what ingredients go into producing them. Everything above 760 doesn't matter since it's all good, but there's plenty of discussion daily on this forum about the ingredients that go into scores between 760-850.
