I recently had a chance to see my Experian PLUS FAKO scores, they were EX 562, EQ 570, and TU 600. Yesterday I subscribed to Scorewatch. I was surprised to see that my actual Equifax FICO score was 614. So doesn't it stand to reason that if my mid PLUS FAKO score was Equifax, then Equifax would be my actual mid fico score or am i wrong assuming that?
Matt
I'm afraid that you can't assume diddly about FAKO's. They just don't track consistently enough. Here are my current pairs (FAKO's are from TrueCredit):
EQ FICO 709 / EQ FAKO 732
TU FICO 728 / TU FAKO 702
EX FICO 730 / EX FAKO 673
It's best to grit your teeth and pay for the real things. You can buy the FICO TU and FICO EX separately using FICO Standard, but the scores will only exhibit for 30 days. Or you can pay for three scores through the Suze FICO kit and just choose to pull the EX and TU for now, and pull any one of the three scores later. These scores display for a year. (This kit might be the best option for SW subscribers, because of this flexibility.)
On any of these products except Scorewatch,
the scores don't update. And of course, it isn't necessary to know your FICO scores to work on your credit, but it's great in six months time when you want to look back and see how far you've come. If you do choose to buy more scores, be sure to first google fico discount coupon code to get at least 15% off. Sometimes you have to try several before you find one that works.
