As my wife and I are cleaning up our credit to do some real estate investing, I've been in contact with a couple of mortgage brokers. I was told the following:
1) CAR DEALERS - Use the highest scoreout of EX, EQ, and TU.
2) MORTGAGE BROKERS - Use the median scoreout of EX, EQ, and TU. So with my scores at EX 675, EQ 531, and TU 665, they would use my TU score as the basis of granting a mortgage, since it's the one in the middle of the range.
Has anyone else heard this in regards to buying real estate?
