I was looking over my Credit Score Disclosure from my pre-approval and noticed something interesting that I haven't seen before. I had always assumed that FICO 2, 4, and 5 all followed the usual max score of 850, but the disclosures said something I wasn't expecting. Do TU and EQ mortgage scores really top out UNDER 850?

Not sure why it would say that. Maybe it's an internal score based on mortgage scores or some sort of legacy thing from a long time ago perhaps.

Yes. I believe so. @Revelate and @Thomas_Thumb would know for sure.

That is the real world score range from those scores.
If you look for Jello's old post on the different FICO algorithms you'll see that confirmed.
FICO 8 and later standardized the range to top out at 850 for Classic scores, and 900 for the industry options. Before that, which incidentally the current mortgage trifecta is, it varies by credit bureau.
