@Duke_Nukem Did your Equifax and Trans Union mortgage scores go up?
How are you doing the calculations for AAoA yourself or relying on the front end which maybe inaccurate?
Yes I would hope the inquiries will give you some justice as well.

I haven't gotten the myFico pulls yet, so I don't have the EQ nor TU mortgage scores. Planning on buying the myFico for myself and DW the first few of days of April when everything should be finalized. Just too much $ for me to pull multiple reports when it probably won't change what we are doing anyway. The engineer in me craves those starting DP's, but I'm too cheap! ![]()
I didn't calculate those dates myself. It came from the EX reports. They report different dates depending on where you look, one that includes AU and one that only includes your individual accounts. Not sure which one this came from, but will double check later.

You’re right that’s why you have to calculate it yourself. IIRC, Experian has two places one that shows it with AUs and one without, but you have to calculate it yourself preferably, that’s what the algorithm does it doesn’t take the front ends word for it.
So I've calculated my AAoA with AU and without. It seems to match both cases for EX's report (unless I'm doing it wrong myself).
EX's Credit Summary page must be including the AU's, as it shows 6.1 average and I calculate 6.04y with AU's.
EX's "Fico Scores/Score Ingredients/Length of Credit History" page shows 5y 11m, and I calculate 5.94y without AU's.
Do all the scores count AAoA with AU's included (if included in the anti-abuse algorithms of course) or do they use the AAoA w/o AU's? I was thinking the former since it helps to get added as an AU on older accounts.
Thanks, BM7!
I'm hoping things go as planned, but Coronavirus 19 is wreaking havoc on everything and everybody. My DW's office had to close due to risks for themselves and their patients, so she has been temporarily laid off. They are closed at a minimum of 4 weeks, so I'm hoping this won't cause any kind of issue with attaining a mortgage.
I'm readjusting plans slightly. Hoping to apply the first week of April instead of mid-April. Will continue to update, but nothing new should occur until the last days of March when I have 2 scoreable inquiries age to 1y.
Wishing everyone well and please be safe!
Yes, its getting crazy! Sorry to hear about the layoff; hopefully it's short and doesn't interfere. Hopefully the inquiries will give you some helpful points!
Update:
EX finally removed DW as AU on my Disco card. Since EX had already closed the AU account with a $0 balance on her report when it was Disputed, the only thing that changed was her AAoA went from 4y6m to 4y11m (this is the AAoA that includes AU accounts).
A couple of days later, Amex BCE reported with a new UTI of 28% from 32% (crossing the 29% threshold). EX8 only went up 1 point to 715 (it took a nosedive from 725 to 714 when the Disco AU was closed from the dispute). No change on EX2 mortgage score, as expected since the Amex is ignored (CL exceeds EX2's recognized limit). EX2 reason codes still includes "Not Using Revolving Credit".
A dispute is still open with EX on the Uber AU on my DW's account. Again, it is a closed account so only AAoA is being affected. If EX's time lines are similar to the Disco AU dispute, this should be resolved in the next week so hoping for a similar 5 month increase in AAoA. Not sure if it will help EX2 by crossing 5y, but maybe...
Only one thing left for us to do, and that is to have her USB Cash+ card report a $10-15 balance next week. This will hopefully increase her EX2 mortgage score by going AZEO, but may drop her EX8 score (not sure about this since I didn't expect it to drop when Disco AU was disputed). Perhaps EX8 will bump up as well, but not really an issue for a mortgage app.
As far as my scores go, waiting on the 2 HP's to reach 1y in a few days.

I’m curious why it took a nosedive when they discover was closed? When it goes into dispute it is excluded from the algorithm anyway. But did it reduce her total credit line to a point where aggregate thresholds were crossed? I haven't figured that one out and still puzzles me. No thresholds were crossed that I'm aware of. In fact, her agg uti went down from something like 16% to 12% due to my Disco having a 28% uti when it was disputed. It's almost as if EX8 isn't counting her $35k Amex CL, something like EX2 ignoring it. But that doesn't seem right, especially since she has a "Recent Credit Card Use" reason code for EX8.
Yes there’s a good chance you may get some points at five years AAOA, my fingers are crossed for you.
I don’t think posting 1 more balance will hurt her version 8 score much(AmEx counts there), it really depends on how many cards she has, I forgot, how many cards does she have? She has 4 cards (Amex BCE, CapOne VO, USB Cash+, Synch Car Credit) along with 2 of mine as AU (CapOne QS, Synch Care Credit). My Uber that she was AU on is in dispute and is listed as Closed on EX. All balances are at $0 except for her Amex.
Yes my fingers are also crossed for you on the inquiries becoming unscoreable. I haven’t been on the site for a little while and when I came back my notifications were full I was worried you had posted and I missed it.
Well you’ve got a couple good things to look forward to, your inquiries coming off, average age ticking over five years, her posting a balance, it can only go up!
Thanks, BM7. It's been a heck of a ride the last couple of weeks, so its perfectly understandable to spend some time away. I've been enjoying having both of my DD's home from college the past week or so, but not liking the circumstances of why they are home.
I answered some of your questions in RED above. Looking forward to next week to see if any of this works! ![]()
