my scores have been climbing steadily in the last two weeks since I paid all 5 credit cards that had balances there were at 60-98% utilization.
I am suprised that my Equifax was my lowest before and now is my highest . I still have 2 more PIF accounts that have not reported.
When will the Banks see these scores? I talked to Citibank last week and they didn't have the EX score that was showing on MyFico, but had a lower score around what I had had a month ago.
myFICO scores are FICO 08 scores and any lender who uses FICO 08 scores will use them. Most major banks use the FICO 08 score for CC lending, but I think Citibank uses the bankcard variant of the EQ FICO 08 score (different score) or at least that is the FICO score they provide cardmembers now. The bankcard version is on a scale of 900 and not 850 and the scores are unlikely to match.
Also bear in mind that lenders pull scores, but they don't do so everyday unless you do something that triggers a pull (like applying for a new card). They won't see an updated score till they pull your score again. If you have a card with them, chances are your lender pulls your score every month or two (sometimes more often).
Any score is accurate but only for its own scoring model. You can't rely on a score generated by one model to determine a score generated by an entirely different model. You should expect different algorithms to produce different results. As indicated above, while many creditors use FICO 8 scores, not all do.
Don't overlook the Understanding FICO Scoring subforum, its stickies and prior discussions on scores as they are an extremely common topic.
