My fico score NOT even close to accurate

My scores on my fico are 598, 603, 604. My lender pulled today and said my middle score is 575. What gives? This is supposed to be so accurate and it's very far from accurate. So frustrated.

Re: My fico score NOT even close to accurate

There needs to be a FREAKING HUGE disclaimer across the main page of this site. I feel bad for people who come here and get the same mixed feelings. after they pull their numbers here and then go to a lender and (most time being lower) and find out the MORTGAGE SCORES or whatever you pulled for. are not the same, as these scores you pull from MYFICO.

That's what happened to you here, your lender pulled a score from a different algorithim. Your going to have to either clean up or enhance your overall credit profile, to move your scores up

Re: My fico score NOT even close to accurate

I paid all credit cards off. I have three deletion letters from collection agencies. I brought my student loans up to date. Luckily based on what my lender says they do not have the updated zero balances or the collection removals so they are doing a rapid rescore. My income qualifies me for a mortgage twice as big as I am asking for and I have a large down payment. This is annoying!

Re: My fico score NOT even close to accurate

Sometimes you have to make the CA's move their a**** on getting those delettions done. If I were you, I would call the bureau's and tell them you have deletion letters from those CA's, they should tell you they can do a dispute and that will get the deletions done in 30 days or less, if you have physical letters, they will just not respond to the dispute or let the CBA's know yes they should be deleted.

If you don't already know, atleast one of those cards should actually report, you have to show activity . Letting one single card report at 1-10% works best.

The credit score algorithim is a piece of junk and honestly seems to work against the consumer, I think. So you have to manipulate it, as it does you.

If you haven't tried those things I suggest, then I would give it a go, if you feel comfortable. I do completely understand your annoyance. I have never had a loan because simple I NEVER NEEDED TO BORROW MONEY and it hinders my score, isn't that stupid!

I hear you. However, it's possible that they're still on there and the CAs are dragging their feet. You should pull your credit reports to be sure, which is free if you haven't in the last year.

As far as the FICO scores, the ones you pull here are FICO 08, and the mortgage industry is all on FICO 04 for the most part. The only place I know to manually pull that score is the ScorePower FICO product on Equifax's website.

hey i will look at that and see. this is so irritating. i almost question the value of paying $20 per month for a score that does NOT matter. thanks!

Well i wouldn't say its an rip off because 08 is used by an lot of credit card companies. If you know you are looking for an mortgage you should know that you need to find somewhere that pulls 04 scores.
