Need help figuring out Experian negative different date from Eq and TU

I recently bought my report from all 3 CRAs.  I have 30 days past due back in 2005 on both my Equifax and TU report but when I view my Experian report, it says the last time I was 30 days past due was 3.3 years ago.  I'm curious to find out if this is something I can dispute with Experian?

I may just be misunderstanding the way a late payment is documented.  I am thinking that they start from the last date of the 30 day late payment.  So on both TU and Eq my last date that I was 30 days past due was on September 2005.  The loan was paid in full and closed in October of 2008.  So when I do the math, 3.3 years ago was roughly when the loan itself was closed.  Is this a mixtake on Experians report or is this the correct way they factor in 30 day late payments?

I think I figured it out, it looks like it will be from the date of the last reporting going on which was 11/08.  So it won't be until 11/15 that it drops off.  Thanks!

It will drop from the date the account first went delinquent.  Get your EX report directly from Experien and see what is listed for DOFD.  It should be the same, or close to, what the other two have.  If it's not, and you can prove DOFD, then dispute with the reporting party.

STARTING: 11/24/10 EQ-584 EXP-648 TU04-595
CLOSED FIRST HOME 8/19/11 EQ-630 EXP-691 TU04-653
CURRENT: EQ-701 EXP-??? TU08-720

Re: Need help figuring out Experian negative different date from Eq and TU

Thank you.  Unfortunately I don't see that anywhere on my official Experian report.  The account in question was late by 30 days 3 times through its course.  The debt in question was a car loan through a credit union.  Since then, it's been paid off in full with no other 30 days late.

Does this make any difference with what you just said?

EX doesn't list the DoFD. Only Equifax does that. EX and TU will show the scheduled time the account should be gone.

I have my myFICO.com Equifax and TU report with FICO score.  Is this sufficient?  I still don't see where it says it will drop off.

Reports from third party sites (including myFICO) often don't have the most complete information. If you pull your free reports from annualcreditreport.com Experian and Transunion will have the drop off dates. The Equifax report will show the actual DoFD.

Or you can buy them directly from each CRA.

Re: Need help figuring out Experian negative different date from Eq and TU

Thanks.  I just pulled up my annualcreditreports from both Eq and TU and I still don't see where it says it'll drop off.  Is there specific language that I'm looking for?  I think the easiest way for me to identify it would be to look for an advanced date but that's something I don't see.  Thanks!

I can only describe how mine are listed.

On my EX report within each account summary there is part of it that says: "Status Details". For example one of these says "This account is scheduled to continue on record until Sept. 2015".

Now it's been almost a year since I pulled any reports and since that time they may have changed all this.

Re: Need help figuring out Experian negative different date from Eq and TU

I am so sorry but does it matter if the loan itself was not charged off?  It's only a late payment I'm talking about here.  The loan was paid off in full.  I keep seeing that the 30 day late mark should drop off from the date the account first when delinquent.

That should show in the 81 month payment history the full reports have for each account. For myFICO reports it has a 24 month payment history. Late payments can report no longer than 7 years from their individual date of delinquency.

It's not unusual for there to be a few months difference in the way lates are reported across the 3 CRA's. IME (In My Experience) the lates will drop off as scheduled. Some people report them disappering earlier than scheduled.
