New CC accont = 13 point score drop

The first statement just cut for the new PNC Cash Unlimited card, and I got the expected score decrease for a new account. EX FICO 8 went from 844 to 831. This is the result of a new account plus a nominal drop in the average age of accounts from 8 years, 5 months to 8 years, 1 month.

I'm not worried about this in the least, however. 800+ scores are fantastic; I have a couple of inquiries that will hit the 24 month mark in a couple months and drop completely, and I know this blip will lose its bite after 12 months. I also don't have any plans to open any more new accounts, and will continue to keep my utilization low, knock on wood. The points will be back in due course.

I opened 3 cards a few weeks ago (1 business card so 2 will report) and I'm about to load one up with about $7k of expense; I'm waiting to see how much bite that's all going to have once they report. The inquiries didn't budge my scores at all.

Sorry about the loss of points. 800+ are really great to have!
