Some good information. However, there are many parents that (still) don't fully comprehend how credit really works (or should work) in order to build a strong history. Mine (despite being highly educated, successful and with good credit) didn't, and therefore were incapable of teaching me anything of real usefulness whatsoever, much less get me started off on the right foot. Consequently, I made many, many costly mistakes. Although I was fortunate enough to have the means (and ambition) to fully recover... Sooner would have been much more beneficial rather than later.
Just my opinion, and most likely a fantasy to think it could be done consistently but, I think a considerable number of young people would benefit greatly if they were exposed to expert advice on some of the most important dos and don'ts when it comes to not only building credit, but perhaps even more importantly, how to best use it (and not use it) to get the most benefit from it.... before they graduate high school and move onto higher learning, or stepping out into the adultdomsphere.
Sure, the Internet is a wondrous place, full of all sorts of information, and answers on virtually any subject... but, also full of a great deal of misinformation, misguided and conflicting answers as well.
