Re: New blog article: When Do Medical Bills Affect Your Credit

"In 2017, the three major credit bureaus—Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion—agreed to wait 180 days after the account was first past due before reporting unpaid medical bills."

If only that had happened a year earlier! That would've given us time to breathe after I was finally released from the hospital, after six months, instead of being confronted with dozens of bills that had already gone to collections. I'm sure this will be very useful for a lot of people. It's bad enough to be sick, but watching your credit potentially get ruined by bills you didn't even know about yet...that sucks!
