No Score bump for CLI Increase

USAA just reported to EX my CLI from $5k to $14k but there was no change in my FICO score.  I figured I would see a little jump for the increase. Is it normal for no score change due to CLI? Balance also went from $353 to $0.

Re: No Score bump for CLI Increase

You may or may not see a score change. It would depend on your overall utilization %. Or it may be delayed by a day. Sometimes a CL change is picked up, but the score change is delayed. What's your util % on your other accounts?

The only other cards reporting are Home Depot and Lowe's all reporting 0. I went on an app spree and the new cards are not reporting yet. When they do report they will all be under 10% for each card.  That's probably the reason. No Utll.

Re: No Score bump for CLI Increase

UGH! EQ just dropped 10 points because of the 0 balance! Ugh. Lesson learned. Need to let there always be a small balance, while paying no interest. Hopefully my new cards with balances will begin to report soon and my scores will rebound.

Re: No Score bump for CLI Increase

Unless you are planning on applying somewhere and need every possible point, you can leave all of your balances at 0 and then, when you are ready to app, put a small charge on the next one that will report.

Voila! Instant score fix.

Then, once the app'ing is done, pay it off and the score takes a 10 point hit again, but you are debt free, well worth the 10 points in my mind.

Just trying to get my scores to rise from the dead......

Wait.... I think I just heard a heartbeat!
