Question ??
How come my TransUnion score stayed the same?
FACTS:
1) TransUnion reports compared, 2/8/09 report and 5/9/09 report from myFICO.com
2) CC were payed down 65% leaving utilization around 15% to 20% (credit limits remained same)
3) Installment loans payed down 12%
4) TransUnion score stayed same 723 from myFICO across the 3 month span (2/8/09 to 5/9/09)
5) Recently sent updates to reporting agencies to update and correct report (does this freeze score?)
Could this be that everytime I log in there is a message as follows.....

Apologies...
CC payed down 36%.....
All else remaining the same....hypothetically, score still should have went up......
I have Score Watch and Quarterly Monitoring....and the error message always appears when I log in....
Could this be the problem?
To clarify...Regardless of the error message, I am always able to login and utilize the website to the fullest....It's that the error message always appears for me.......
I am just trying to figure out why my TransUnion score remained the same despite the positive changes reported from the 2/8/09 to the 5/9 report where my total CC debt was greatly reduced while everything else remained the same...
Thank you for your input by the way........
Upon further review, my credit CC utilization went from 43% to 25% from 2/8 to 3/9.
On both reports, it shows as a negative #1 (high utilization). From what I have read in the past in FICO forums, under 30% utilizations is considered good......it now seems that keeping utilization under 10% is what will drive your score up.....
Also, 2/8 report shows 25 accounts with 5 having a balance and 5/9 report shows 24 accounts with 5 having a balance....
After reading your latest response, I have another question.
Do closed accounts with no balance, good history, and highest limit reported have a negative effect on scoring?
Thanks again for your feedback......any suggested action plan from your experience would be greatly appreciated...
