How much was the paid off balance and how much is your overall utilizaiton?
It's possible the amount you paid down was trivial under the context of your entire balance-to-limit ratio.
I just paid off a small balance and it posted today as well; $577. No score change, which I assume is becuase it wasn't even half a percent decrease in my overall utilization across all cards.
