No score increase.

I'm new to these forums(Saturday new). I currently have a util of 29%, down from 80, I recently got a Barclay and discover card. Barclay is now on my credit report as an open account with a limit of 1300. Now my question is.....due to a extra 1300 from Barclays, wouldn't that have decreased my util more, and given me more available credit? Why didn't my score increase? Do I have to wait until I make my first payment before that happens?

Thank you!!😊

Welcome to the forum.. There may be other factors /reasons why your FICO score didn't increase.  The new approval should help pad your utilization but overall, it comes down to your entire file not just a new approval.
