So I got my 2nd report/score refresh on my CCT trial this morning and noticed my EQ score dropped 20 points. Here is a breakdown of what has happened on my EQ report in the past week:
Collection account removed
Fraudulent 3 month old account removed ($250 CL)
1 inquiry made (in the process of getting it removed because it was fraud)
Other than that, nothing has changed. My utilization is pretty much the same. So I am at a loss as to why my score would actually drop that much. Anyone have any ideas?
Was the collection account the oldest account you had?
Even though utilization is about the same, going 28.7% to 29% makes a huge difference, same with other thresholds, 8.9, 48.9 etc.
Inquiry that is fraudlent is dinging some points there, but not 20 on 1 bureau alone.
It was the oldest. But it was taken off TU as well and that didn't get a drop, it actually went up a few points (EX took it off weeks ago and also got a bump). Utilization is 6% on EQ, 5% on TU, and 3% on EX. And the inquiry is only on EQ.
How old was the account since it was your oldest? How old is your second oldest (now current oldest) account? What was your AAoA before/after the removal?
