Re: Oldest account?

Thanks.

Back in 2011 I saw an unknown version of my credit score and it was 580. In 11/2011 I got my first ever car loan and they told me my score was 620 (or so). My score hovered between 630 - 660 until late 2015 when I discovered that carrying 50% - 80% utilization on my CapOne card when they reported was killing me (I usually PIF, but had my timing all wrong). After I got that straight and a couple of  derogs dropped my scores jumped to 700-720. I then added 6 credit cards in Jan/Feb 2016 (after the mortgage refi) knowing I'd take a hit on inquiries but needed to build a base of history. The mortgage refi, new cards and inquires dropped my scores about 20 points. They slowly climbed  back to 700-720 before taking 50-60 point jumps in 9/2016.

Next year the old BofA will drop in April, credit inquiries will age past 12 months and sometime in Summer/Fall the two derogs will drop so there may be some ups and downs.

I've learned a ton about credit scores in the past few years thanks to this forum and othe sources. Thanks for your insights!

AoOA = 18.6 years, AAoA = 60 mos., AoYA = 18 mos.
One mortgage, one HELOC, no car loans.
Derogs from 2009 and 2010 now gone after 7 years. I started paying attention to credit scores in about 2014. It's taken a few years but credit scores are now good after starting in the high 500s back in 2011
