I'll just add my score timeline here as a datapoint. I've annotated newly opened and closed accounts - the other points are just reported balances going up and down.

Thanks for the data points, @TLinFargo!  And that is an interesting chart for those tracking FICO score effects of various events.  Just curious but which credit reporting bureau is that data from?

That 25 point drop for opening a new account is huge but as I pointed out, my experience was quite different!

Yes, my EX Fico Score 8 is down to 822 now, but actually that was my one score that (if I'm not mistaken) never hit the full 850 anyway.  So even if it was "down" 28 points from a perfect score, that was only after opening a staggering 9 new accounts.  My theory is that my long 35 year history and the thickness of my file probably helps minimize the FICO effects of credit-seeking.  My Experian mobile APP shows 20 currently open accounts, 26 closed accounts (46 total) with 8 inquiries.  I seem to remember EX penalizing my FICO score more than other bureaus for a 30-day late I was carrying until late last year.  From my experience, I think Experian is more sensitive to utilization rates and new credit accounts too.

I have never yet hit 850 on any of the fico 08 scores...last month was 835 on equifax fico 08, which was my highest score ever. I celebrated by apping for a capital one walmart card to get 5% cash back from Walmart. It not only was a triple pull but I was declined for the card. First rejection in 20 years for a credit card. Go figure, because I thought that was an easy card to get.

This gave me an excuse to post mine as well. The product I have only provides TU scores quarterly. The other CRA were purchased, but since I now get all 3 free somewhere, I onl do the 3B pull about once a year.

Those are nice graphics, @sarge12 .  I didn't post mine so I'm not familiar.

And I never paid for my FICO scores, only get them from my lenders.

Are these all from My Fico and from the annual 3B pull you pay for?

The TU is from Fico quarterly monitoring, the other CRA scores are from pulls paid when I wanted an update. I do that much less since I finally found a free Equifax which was the only one missing 2 years ago. Joined Langley CU to get that on. Have multiple sources for the others. Now I just pull about once a year to keep these graphs logging.

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

Thank you for threads like this one, which keeps us focused and motivated!

I finally reached 772 in EX FICO 8 last July (a huge jump from 683 in June).
Then this month, my EX FICO 8 jumped again to 781.

My EX FICO 9 (via Wells Fargo) jumped from 718 in July, to 763 this month!

Super happy to see progress!
The bad thing is that I have been doing so many things, and changing so many behaviors in the last month, that I don't know what to attribute the score increase to. I am working for that to change too, and keep record of my credit moves!

I see your 850 scores...but what is your resiliency index score? Mine is a barely moderate 59. If I had received just 1 more point, I could have at least told people how sensetive I was, but no!

Ditto, I don't know what that is, Sarge.  How is it measured?  And, is it automatic with getting one's FICO score?  Or, is that another charge, Sarge. Smiley Happy

Since my scores have been dunned by that two-year wait for opening a since-closed account in 2019, I haven't checked my FICO scores lately.  Readers need to know.

Wow, I can't beleive so many here are still not aware of the new Resiliency Index Score, as there are many threads about it. It is a new score that is suppose to be an indication of how resilient your credit is to an economic downturn or recession. It seems as many things we do to get high fico 08 scores, cause the reslience score to be worse. In that score which runs from 1 to 99, the lower the score the better. It seems to be sensetive to having high revolving credit limits, or having a lot of credit cards to help withutilization. Most of us with over 800 fico 08 scores, have fairly bad Resilience Index Scores. A 3B pull on Myfico now includes this new score from Equifax.
